A Moment of Matcha: Shinzo Matcha Product Photography

Matcha is more than a drink—it’s a ritual.
I recently had the opportunity to photograph Shinzo Matcha, creating a series of images focused on the craftsmanship, elegance, and calming energy behind the brand. From the rich green tones of the matcha itself to the textures, ingredients, and details that bring each cup to life, the goal was to create imagery that feels elevated, natural, and inviting.
For this shoot, I focused on a balance of clean, bold product photography and lifestyle-driven moments. Tablescapes, pouring, and carefully styled details helped tell the story behind the experience—not just the final drink, but the process and intention that goes into every cup.
Along with the matcha itself, we also created imagery around Shinzo’s matcha soda, highlighting a more refreshing and modern way to enjoy the flavor. I also captured short-form video content, bringing the movement of the pour, the preparation, and the overall experience to life.
With matcha’s vibrant color and timeless appeal, I wanted the images and video to feel premium while still capturing the warmth and simplicity of the ritual.
